We know that in engaging any Company to work at your scheme, you need to know they will do so with the highest standards of health and safety. We take safety very importantly and to illustrate this, here are some examples of how we operate:
Our work is supported by appropriate risk assessments and method statements
- Our team is trained and refreshed via a 3 year rolling training plan in a range of safety related activities
- High quality and British Standards Personal Protective Equipment is worn for each task type
- We have an active health surveillance programme in place for our team
- We operate a ‘near miss’ reporting process which encourages our team to report any issues that could have resulted in an accident
- When working on a customer’s scheme, they are trained to mindful of the potential risks on site.
We applaud any member of our team who does not proceed with a task because they believe it is unsafe to do.
COVID-19
By working to Public Health England requirements on hygiene and social distancing, we are operational and open.

A wisteria I admire on every visit 💜
A day out to @westdeangardens for some of the team. To admire their espaliers and glasshouses but to also attend brilliant study sessions with @gardener_sylvia on caring for veteran orchard trees.
We often inherit veteran fruit trees that need multi-year programs to improve their health and aesthetic. We’re now better skilled as a team to do so.
The end of our first year getting this contemporary garden back in shape.
It has been a joy working with clients who are open minded and eager to improve their plot.

Great fun with our cutting gardens this year but dahlia season is swiftly coming to a close. Until next year.

#amelanchier is a dream. A subtle tree, one of my favourites.
Daphne odora. Strong scent for gloomy late winter.
Within two years this delivery (beech maidens) will need 5-7 hours of maintenance from you/your gardener per year, plus mulch.
Worth every penny in this instance but a ‘hidden’ cost that’s worth bearing in mind.

The Camellia japonicas are on form this year. They reliably provide good structure and a deep, rich green. After a mild winter their blooms are also astounding... and abundant! An essential feature of large traditionally planted gardens.

Once you look past the tiki bar sales reps, mindless garden clutter and fair weather folk... #rhschelsea is a magical place.
The catwalk spectacle is sublime and in places ridiculous... I love it. Each garden oozes the passion you hope to see from someone at (or nearing) the pinnacle of their career. Some push boundaries but some do not.
